Android app Review: Unlock With WiFi

BannerSecurity

If you’re anything like me; you are concerned about what personal information somebody could retrieve from your phone if it was ever lost or stolen. I started using the pattern lock on my Samsung Galaxy S II for just that reason. My biggest peeve is constantly unlocking it while at home or work. Removing it and trying to remember to re-add it when I leave work or home is not appealing in the slightest. Yesterday I came across Unlock With WiFi on the Android Market and now my problems have been solved.  This app essentially remembers your WiFi networks and disables the lock feature on the device when your phone connects to one of your added home WiFi connections .  The moment you disconnect from the WiFi connection the app releases and your existing lock-screen is enabled. You never have to remember to set up your screen lock again! You will however need to remember your password or pattern as I can’t help you there. Hit the break for screenshots and additional features.

Wish this was compatible with my Samsung Droid Charge! I would love to not have to worry about unlocking my phone while at home. :(
