Android Master: A Graphical User Interface for ADB

Treasure hunting can be a daunting task, especially if you aren’t sure of what you’re looking for in the first place. In Android Master, created by XDA forum developer nightshack0, I believe that I have unearthed a real gem for Android hackers, developers, and tinkerers. Android Master is a GUI (Graphical User Interface) for ADB (Android Debug Bridge), if you don’t know what ADB is,  this article probably isn’t for you, as you will not have any use for it. However, for those who use ADB on a regular basis, this is a tool that make your life that much easier than it already is. Please note: at the time of this writing, the developer only supports Windows and has not made any plan to expand to other OS’s  just yet. Hit the break for more info.

The layout of the program is very simplistic and well thought. On the left side, you’ll see the status of the server and whether it is on or off. Also, on this part you can see  if your device is connected. On the right side, there are multiple tabs that consist of pre-configured commands to let you input many types of requests with just a single click. For example, on the “Commands” tab, you just need to choose “recovery” and click “GO” to reboot your device into recovery. If you don’t see the command that you need to run in the tool, you can input your custom ADB command in it, and run it from the tool itself without needing to go to the prompt.

This is the perfect tool that allows you to save the trouble of memorizing so many commands, and yet still allows you to input custom commands if you feel what you’re trying to get your device to do is not yet covered in the pre-programmed options. Give it a try and see if this makes your life that much easier as it has made mine.
