Android’s World Domination: 1.3 million devices activated daily, 480 million total

For those of you who like to talk numbers, you might be interested in a few stats that Eric Schmidt was on-hand to share at today’s big Motorola press conference.

As of now, Google is seeing approximately 1.3 MILLION activations per day, which is an increase of about 300k per day, since October. Schmidt also went on to say that the total number of Android devices activated worldwide is now estimated to be 480 million.

Of course, with some of the awesome devices we’ve seen as of late, this comes to us as no surprise. Let’s not forget the Samsung Galaxy S III and its astonishing sales numbers, and the Note II is right around the corner, so we only expect to see these stats get better.

2 more devices were announced today, the Motorola DROID RAZR HD and DROID RAZR M, which both look to be pretty decent devices, so go ahead and throw a bit more fuel on the fire.
