While tonight’s Google+ app update is definitely the most exciting, it’s not the only app to get an update today worth mentioning. My favorite homescreen replacement app, Apex Launcher, also has a new version waiting in the Google Play Store. The updated version number is 1.3.2, and it brings along with it an option to set custom dock backgrounds, among other things.

Also included is improved vertical drawer switching, an increased maximum grid size for 10-inch tablets, updated translations, and other bug fixes and improvements. Owners of the Pro version also got support for external notifiers, a feature I haven’t tested out yet, but intend to do so very soon.

Albeit this is of an older version, there is a video review of Apex Launcher below that I shot a while back, for those of you who are unfamiliar with it. I use it as my “daily driver” because it offers a ton of customization options and other features you can’t find in other homescreen replacement apps.

If you haven’t already grabbed your update, or perhaps you’d like to try Apex for the first time, head on over to the Play Store with the link below and check it out.

Apex launcher definitely has the most features, but there’s something about Nova launcher that keeps me using it. Plus I have the premium version.
