ASUS Transformer TF101 9.2.1.24 update rolling out now with Face Unlock and More

It looks as if Asus is rolling out another update for the Eee Pad Transformer 101 in the United States and Canada. The latest software version is numbered 9.2.1.24 and brings along with it added features, functionality and stability — all the things we, as Android fanatics, long for. The big shi-bang here is the much-anticipated official arrival of Face Unlock, though this feature has been available in many custom ROMs for the Transformer since the original Ice Cream Sandwich update went live for the device a few months back.
Here’s a quick roundup of the update’s details:
- Improves system stability
- Improves Email App stability
- Improves MyNet stability
- Improves MyLibrary stability
- Add System Bar Lock: Lock the system bar when playing games
- Add Face Unlock feature: Unlock your tablet with face recognition
- Add Email App new feature: Email download size/Thread/Out of office notification/Mail Sync schedule
If you’re running stock firmware on your TF101, check your system settings and grab your update now. If you’re on a custom ROM, like me, you’ll have to wait patiently until these updates are merged into your current ROM before being able to enjoy them. That, or take yourself back to stock. Your call.

Thanks for the heads up, Preston!
