Asus Transformer TF101 update build 9.2.1.21 rolling out now

Earlier today, we received word that the OG Transformer TF101 (the tablet I own and love) has a brand new updated build that is in the process of being pushed out to the device. The new build, 9.2.1.21 is said to address the persistent lag issues that many TF101 owners have experienced over the past few weeks since ICS officially rolled out.

As a rooted and ROM’d TF101 owner, I have not yet received the update on my tablet, and I most likely won’t get it either. I’ll probably wait for some wily developer to use the new update as a base for an optimized and rooted ROM. With my HTC Amaze getting ICS just yesterday, I’m in no real rush to update my TF101 from the awesome ROM I’m already using — Revolver 4. Instead, I’ll lay faith in the development community to build upon the latest official release and make it better than it already is, as is the case usually.

If you’re still rocking a stock firmware and recovery on you tab, you should be able to manually check for the update in your device settings if you have not already been notified of its availability.

TF101 owners, what do you think? Did this update bring with it any noticeable improvements?
