Chrome for Android M18.1 update brings improved YouTube support and stability enhancements

The Chrome browser application for Android received a small, yet sweet update on the Google Play Store earlier this afternoon. The latest version is labeled M18.1 and weighs in at 19MB. As for what’s new, this bump mostly includes a number of security and stability improvements, but there’s also a few other notable additions as well.

Now, when watching YouTube videos through Chrome, videos controls now work in full-screen mode and will continue playing after a screen lock/unlock (I sure wish the YouTube app would bring the latter of those two features sometime in the near future).

To round out the update, location preferences are now integrated to system level Google apps location setting and a few additional fixes to make third-party IMEs work better with Chrome. It just keeps on getting better, doesn’t it?

Head on over to Google Play and get your update on!
