Chromebook Pixel Announced in Leaked Video
Excuse me while I try and pick my jaw up off of the floor as I type this out. Just earlier today, a video was uploaded to YouTube teasing what seems to be a brand new Google-designed device called the Chromebook Pixel, and it is boasting an eye-watering 2560×1700 resolution. Not only that, but this thing has a touchscreen along with a fully featured keyboard. Not much else is known just yet, but the fact that the video was taken down almost immediately from YouTube is a damn good sign that this thing is more than just a prototype.
UPDATE: A copy of the video was uploaded to DailyMotion:
New ChromeBook – Next Generation Concept… by dm_51129ba0cbea8
UPDATE 2: It’s back up on YouTube (for now)!
Also, here’s some screengrabs from the video. Enjoy!
Now you can start picking your own jaw back up, too.
UPDATE 3: Eagle-eye Derek Ross of Android Authority found this gem and posted it to Google+ a few hours ago. It would seem that MarkMonitor.com, the domain name services company that Google frequently uses, has had a site registered to ChromebookPixel.com since October.
This certainly gives some heft to the weight of this rumor wouldn’t you say?
