Cyanogen Mod Talks Jelly Bean on Google+

Earlier today on Google+, Cyanogen Mod decided to answer some of the Android communities questions around Jelly Bean. We all know that CM builds have been the place to go if you want cool features, or if you want Google to build cool features into the new stock versions they release.

The post started with the team stating they will be making a new version of their ROM, dubbed CM10, running Jellybean as the OS. This is no different than any other version they have done in the past, as each new version comes from Google, they take it and make it better for the rest of us. The next thing that they discussed is what devices will be covered with CM10. Well, if you currently have a device that supports CM9, then there is a good chance that you will be supported for CM10.

The best part for the Cyanogen Mod team, is that the build will not need to be completely reworked as the update from ICS to JB is not the same nor as complex as the update was from GingerBread to Ice Cream sandwich.

The CM team does plans to release a final build of CM9. They will also work on CM7 exclusively (keeping it up to date) and CM10. The CM team will continue to support CM9 with updates as needed, but I think we can all agree that we want Jelly Bean.

Let’s get the CM party started!

I have been a Droid addict since I got my first OG Droid (Motorola A855), it took me about 3 months to root and I was hooked. I now have multiple devices and each one of them supplies me with my daily dose of Android love. Outside of Android I also love reef aquariums and I am a workaholic to support my family and three beautiful girls and would do anything for them and love that they are always interested in daddy's Android toys.
