CyanogenMOD 7.2 RC2 builds now available for a slew of Devices

CyanogenMod 7.0 Android 2.3 Custom ROM

For those of you who have anxiously anticipated news regarding the Gingerbread branch of CyanogenMOD — CM7.2 — the first round of Release Candidate 2 builds have surfaced for a number of different devices. The newest builds address some issues that were brought to the CM team’s attention after a post made on Wednesday about the future of CM7.

Obviously, with Ice Cream Sandwich gracing only about 5% of all of the Android devices out there, we assume there is still a high demand for Gingerbread updates, especially if you’re unfortunate enough to still be rocking a device that won’t be seeing Ice Cream Sandwich any time soon, if ever at all. If you fall into this category, that doesn’t mean you have to retire from Android flashing altogether, it just means you’ll have to try out a newer version of an older version of Android — if that makes any sense.

To check for device availability, head on over to the CyanogenMOD download page. If your device isn’t listed, hang tight, as this is only the first round of builds to be released. More have been promised for the coming weeks. Additionally, the team noted in their Google+ post that stable builds aren’t far off, so stay tuned. We’ll be sure to let you know when they drop.
