Delayed: Rayman Jungle Run won’t hit the Google Play Store until next week

While we typically like to keep the news upbeat around here, we do realize not all is good news, and it’s still our duty to report it — even if the news is bad. That’s exactly the case if you’re anxiously awaiting the arrival of the upcoming Ubisoft title for Android, “Rayman Jungle Run”.
The game, which released for iOS devices on the 19th of this month, is being held back by Ubisoft because they want to make sure the game functions properly on “all” supported Android devices. This is probably a wise move, especially considering the amount of people out there anxious to get their hands on this one.
“We understand that you can’t wait to play the game but we were not 100 percent sure that the experience would be perfect on all Android devices. That’s why we have taken the decision to take one more week to fully optimize the game for all Android devices, even the less common ones.”
Luckily, we don’t have to wait much longer until the game is released. Joystiq reports that it will hit the Google Play Store September 27 at 10AM CET (4AM EDT), so we’re down under a week now. With the game’s price tag over on iSheep Island iTunes ringing in at $3, we expect to see similar pricing on our side of the fence — you know, the one with the greener grass.
