Did Google+ just go all Facebook on us? What do you think of the new UI design?

It’s always fun to wake up and check the Internet to see what kind of havoc went down while I was asleep. Today, I woke up to a completely new look on Google+ and the first thing I thought was, “Am I in the right place?”

As with all major change, the opinions from the community are rarely one-sided and that’s definitely not the case here. Some of you love it, some of you hate it. Chalk me up in the first group. I think the new UI looks very clean and smooth, but for many, it’s a little too Facebook-ish for their taste. What do you think?
