Google Drive is Here!

As hinted this morning through a leaked Google document, Google Drive, Google’s cloud service is finally here and available for public use. How exciting is that? I’m very excited to now have ANOTHER aspect of my life controlled by Google.

As you may have seen in the pictures it states that Docs has now become Drive which is evident in your Drive home screen, with categories like “Shared with me” and “Starred”.

Also as you can see the 5Gb for free is standard and there is an offline folder as well. We’re going to have to dive more into that feature before we can accurately inform you on what it is. Right now, guessing you can select items for offline use which will take up memory on your phone.


You can also see the desktop app available for download in the screen shot below, hopefully it’s as easy to set up as Dropbox, and then just drag, drop, and upload.
