EA and Firemonkeys release official Real Racing 3 announcement video, chock full of mind-blowing graphics

Just last week, EA announced its newly formed game development studio, Firemonkeys — a combination of Firemint and Iron Monkeys — and the sparks are already beginning to fly. By the end of the week, the studio had already released a video announcement of its first upcoming game, Real Racing 3, and man does it look amazing.
Unfortunately, there’s no word as to whether the title will land on Android or not, but assuming its predecessor Real Racing 2 (which is on sale for $0.99 right now, by the way) made it without hindrance, there’s nothing to lead us to believe that the third incarnation won’t get the same treatment.
Real Racing 3 will also include a full lineup of real world tracks from the top names around the world including Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Silverstone. With a 22 car grid, gamers will be able to pit themselves against 21 other drivers in one race. - EA / Firemonkeys
I’ve played RR2 for the past week or so and I must say, it’s pretty impressive. It plays very smoothly on my Samsung Galaxy S III, as well as my Amazon Kindle Fire, so I’m quite anxious to see what EA and Firemonkeys have up their sleeves for round 3.
Have a look at a pre-alpha build of the game below:
No word on when we’ll see this game hit mobile devices, but according to our sources it will be sometime later this year. We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for more info about this one and we’ll definitely let you know when we have something solid.
