Fast Burst Camera – It’s so Fast, You’ll Miss it if You Blink

Unless you own a Galaxy Nexus, you probably know that whenever you take a picture with your phone there is some lag between pressing the shoot button and when the picture is actually taken. If you are running Ice Cream Sandwich on your phone, one of the features is that there is less lag, but there still a tiny bit hindering you from taking pictures at the speed of light.

I have a German Sheppard puppy and whenever I want to take a picture of him, by the time the stock camera app takes the picture, my puppy is long gone. If you feel like me, this is extremely annoying; but don’t worry, of course the whole reason I am writing this review is because I found a totally amazing camera app, called Fast Burst Camera by Spritefish. It even takes pictures even faster then the iPhone does (snicker snicker).

The default setting is zero lag, and when I say zero lag, I mean the picture is taken instantly. You can even change your settings so that when you long press the shoot button, your camera will take up to five pictures.

Of course there are more settings, like photo resolution and you can adjust your shooting modes — i.e. you can choose to have a delay ranging anywhere from 1/10 of a second to 1 second. You can also enable one click shooting (tapping the shoot button cause only 1 picture to be taken), and you can choose what happens when you long press the shooting button (burst mode, which is endless pictures, 1 shoot, 3 shoots or 5 shoots).

Besides that, you can choose your storage location to be either the internal SD Card or to an external one. Another option is what happens when you touch the screen, you can set it to take a picture, do nothing or auto focus. There are more advanced setting available too, so I suggest you checking them out thoroughly for yourself if you decide to pick this one up for yourself.

In my opinion this is the best camera app I have ever used. The full version will set back $3.99, but it is worth every penny. There is a also a free version with fewer options so you can test the app before buying it. Check it out using the links below.

I am a big Android fan. I am gadget (phones and tablets) and app obsessed and currently enrolled at Full Sail University to get my BA in Mobile Development. I own several Android devices and the first thing I do to them is rooting them. Then most likely I check out a different Rom for the device. You could say I am somewhat of an Flashaholic... I live in Fort Lauderdale, FL and I am originally from Germany. I moved to the US in 2002. Read more about me on my Google+ page. That is where you usually find hanging around...
