First batch photos of alleged LG Nexus phone surface (LG-E960 runs wild!)

It looks like the rumors of LG producing a Nexus Android smartphone might be becoming a bit more than just rumors. Our friends from Droid-Life have obtained a set of photos of the LG-E960, which looks to be the same phone we ran through the rumor mill just a few days ago, though it won’t be on Android 4.2, rather it will come running stock Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) and carry the codename Mako — at least that’s what the photos show.
First, a set of photos came out with the device in a dummy box, which made it almost impossible to tell what it actually was. Check those photos out below:

Since then, the story has been updated, and there are now pictures of the phone, without the dummy case. Feast your eyes on them below:

Very reminiscent of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, don’t you think?
We’ll be watching for more information on this as it drops, but until Google and LG come out publicly with a statement regarding a Nexus device, we’ll still keep this one tucked away in the rumor drawer.
Hit up the comment thread with your thoughts.
