First CyanogenMOD 9 builds now available for Sprint Galaxy Nexus

sprint gnex cm9

Well, that didn’t take long, now did it? Sprint released its version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus only a little over a week ago and now we’ve already got our first milestone from the development community in the form of the first official CyanogenMOD 9 build. Now, if that isn’t quick enough for you, you might as well just learn to build ROM’s yourself. This news comes to us from a posting on the CyanogenMOD Google+ page, with very little details other than where to download the build and where to view the changelog.

To save you some time, we’ve included said changelog below:

Release Notes: CM9 alpha1
  • Known Bugs
  • Google Wallet works, get it from Play Store.
  • Sprint has confirmed a 3G connectivity problem with stock toroplus AOSP.  Please report if this CM9 fixes this problem or not for you.
  • kernel-3.0.30 by KalimAz.

Well-known Android community member, QB77 from ACSydicate was kind enough to shoot an in-depth review of the ROM in action for those who would like to see it in action before flashing. Check it out:

If you’d like to give this a try for yourself, hit up the source link below for a download link. Then, be sure to let us know how you’re liking the ROM after you have it installed. Happy Flashing!
