Flashaholic’s Essential Pack: a compulsive ROM flasher’s best friend

If you’re someone like me, who likes to flash new ROMs on your Android phone almost everyday, then you know that the biggest pain, with flashing different ROMs all the time, is setting up your phone for use again.

You need to download and install your apps all over again and that can be extremely frustrating. In fact, that is the only reason why some people don’t want flash ROMs. Sure, you can use Titanium Backup or MyBackup Pro but those aren’t the most convenient ways.

What if I told you that there was a way to just simply flash a zip that contained apps which one requires in everyday use? You could just flash the zip after installing your ROM and voila, most of the apps are already installed on your phone even when you boot it for the first time. Sounds amazing, doesn’t it?

Well, your prayers have been answered. I present to you, the Flashaholics Essential Pack, courtesy of XDA senior member strawmetal.

The Flashaholics Essential Pack contains a number of applications that you would need after flashing your phone. The pack contains around 50 odd applications and also includes Google Apps suite.

The pack uses the AROMA Installer to install apps to your phone directly from recovery.

P.S : There is an app available in the Play Store called App2zip which also does the same thing as the above mentioned pack, but I didn’t write about that because it doesn’t work on most devices yet.
