Have you ever thought of a flexible Android device ?  Yeah, not likely and not really possible now is it ?  But wait just a minute! It seems it’s not just science fiction after all.  Why do I say that ?  Well, it seems Samsung has announced the first flexible Android device to be called the Galaxy Skin.

Remember those Samsung flexible and Unbreakable OLED displays? To bring your dream phones in reality Samsung were working on such display and finally to give a big headache to Apple the company just confirmed a Flexible AMLOED screen equipped Android Smartphone to be called Galaxy Skin will available in Q2 2012. Those devices shown back in CES were just concept but according to International Business Times “Galaxy Skin” is a true and we even treated with some photos.

So aside from its flexible form, what specs can Galaxy Skin boast of? For starters, it will have a flexible 4″ AMOLED display (800×480) made of plastic polyimide substrate. Samsung already confirmed that they have started production of such screens. This form of AMOLED technology consumes less energy but still delivers good screen brightness compared to the normal Samsung AMOLED screens.

How about some more images before we get further into the specs!

Connectivity-wise, it has Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n features. It will reportedly run on Android Jellybean (the next Google OS version after Ice Cream Sandwich), but there are speculations that Google will make a special version for it, namely Android Flexy.

With new core technology and applications Galaxy Skin can be used as a full-time mouse. The device, apart from being a smartphone, can be turned into a table clock on or can be worn as a wrist-watch. It can also act as a smart projector when placed on table. So, what you think guys? Go ahead Apple, show us something back.
