Galaxy Nexus owners complain of bug which mutes volume
Well, that didn’t take long, there’s trouble in paradise already. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus, which was released in the UK earlier this week, is reportedly giving its owners a reason to complain. There’s apparently a bug that is causing the phone to mute itself, and then respond erratically to presses on the volume rocker, if it responds at all. Word on the streets is that the bug stems from a radio issue, specifically operation in 2G data mode. As you can see in the video below, the “E” symbol indicates that the phone is on an EDGE (2G) network. G-Nex owner and YouTube user Duddyroar uploaded this 47-second clip, and from the look of it, this bug could grow to be quite an annoyance.

Are you the proud (and possibly frustrated) owner of a Galaxy Nexus? Have you been experiencing this bug? Make sure to drop us a comment in the thread below to share your experience. We’d like to make sure this bug is squashed before Verizon decides to finally let us know when they’ll be selling them — if that day ever comes, of course. We’ll be sure to keep our eyes peeled for updates on this situation. Stay tuned.
