GO Launcher 3.0 Beta 3 now Available for your Testing Pleasure

go launcher 3 beta

GO Launcher 3.0 is now open for beta testing, for those of you who would like to get a sneak preview of the massive public update coming to one of the most popular homescreen replacement applications on Google Play. Although, I’m completely addicted to Apex Launcher (especially with the awesome new pro features), I know there are still a ton of you out there who feel the same way about GO. Be it because you’re still stuck on a Gingerbread device, or be it because you’re set in your old fashioned ways, there’s no shame in running this launcher. It’s still the top dog in many people’s eyes.

GO Launcher development team project manager and XDA Senior Member, bugujun, posted the newest beta version of the app earlier today and it definitely looks like the coming update is going to be one that you guys and gals are really going to salivate over. Check out the 411 below:

(New) UI 3.0 theme with new icons
If you are new user, we will apply UI 3.0 theme automatically, and if you update GO Launcher from old version, you should get into the theme settings to apply the new default theme.
(New) Dock supports adaptive number and size
A lot of people required this feature. So here it is!
(New) User interface for new operating prompt
(Improve) App manager supports prompting moving apps to phone memory/SD card
(Improve) Screen using area after hiding dock
Here comes the big thing! We rewrote the code of home screen and grid, now you can use whole screen without dock!
(Improve) Operation experience of adding GO widgets

If you want to give this beta version of GO Launcher a try, head over to the original post on XDA for the APK download and discussion about the app. If you run into any bugs, make sure to toss in your two cents over there, as that’s the whole purpose of beta testing. We’ll be sure to let you know when the new update hits the Play Store, once it moves out of beta.
