Here’s a little late-night news to wrap your head around while you’re trying to get some sleep. It looks like Google will be launching its 7-inch tablet onto the market this July, according to a hot story that just popped up over on CNET. The story, originally reported by DigiTimes, sees 600,000 units beginning to ship in June with an official release the following month. While, ASUS has declined comment, it is expected that the tablet will be produced in close cahoots between Google and the Taiwanese computer manufacturer.

Of course, we don’t have any confirmed specs or a price tag to put on display for you just yet. Those details will probably begin to trickle out sometime later this Summer, right before the expected launch date. The device is expected to achieve total shipments of 2-2.5 million units in 2012 — not too shabby considering it won’t even have a full half-year to achieve those numbers.

Whaddaya think, kids?
