Google closes ‘The Playground’, cancels event due to Hurricane Sandy

With all the worries about Hurricane Sandy, aka The Frankenstorm, being due to make landfall over the next few days Google has officially cancelled its planned event in New York on Monday. So far, it hasn’t been rescheduled and according to an email sent to Android Police they will let people know as soon as it can be reorganized.
To all of our readers out there on that side of the country, be safe and protect your loved ones and your homes. Android isn’t going anywhere. Weather the storm and we’ll be sure to let you know once the show is back on again.
