Google Wallet to start adding ID cards to its arsenal

Google is really trying to eliminate your wallet with their Wallet app. It’s weird though since only one carrier officially supports it, and also you really need a NFC enabled phone to really enjoy all the options that Wallet provides. Yet, Google keeps adding to Wallet’s feature.
Google is now working on adding ID cards to Wallet to allow the user to easily navigate airports, download passports, and even download movie passes. They are also trying to enable the public the ability to store their drivers’ license (or general ID) and other forms of identification within Wallet.
Google Wallet just announced that these are the major features they are working on currently, this week. They didn’t give an ETA, which is a good cop-out for Google
and also a good way not to piss off its customers. Just imagine though, the day when we will be carrying our phones for EVERYTHING….. we’re going to need bigger batteries.
Since Google hasn’t announced a day all we will be able to do is await for more information, as patiently as possible, and point you to the most recent update. Enjoy and wait along with us.
