How to improve the sound quality on your Google Nexus 7 tablet

Greetings once again, fellow Nexus 7 owners! Here we are on roughly my 48th hour as an owner of the device and I’m already back with my second tutorial on how to make your tablet even more awesome than it already is.
In case you missed it last night, I wrote a post that detailed how to make phone calls on your N7. Tonight, I’m going to show you how to make those speakers sounds a lot better.
This mod installs the Jelly Bean Louder Audio Improvement Patch, which is comprised of Beats Audio and XLOUDER.
Before we get started, I’d like to remind you that OMG!Droid is not responsible for any damage you do to your device. This comes to us thanks to the hard work of XDA Senior Member, Misledz, who also is not responsible, so make sure to do your homework and make appropriate backups before doing anything else.
With that out of the way, here’s what you’ll need:
- Any kernel besides stock with CWM.
- Jellybean 4.1.1, Deodexed/Odexed
- Nandroid backup. Implore this at all costs as sometimes common human mistakes happen.
Then, head over to the original thread on XDA for the full set of instructions and the zip files you’ll need. They’re at the bottom of the post, just make sure you don’t skip any of the important information before you get to them.
Once you have it installed, be sure to stop back and let us know what you think of your new beats.
