HP Bender, Android phone, Shows up in Benchmark testing Logs
So you may or may not have heard that HP’s CEO Meg Whitman said a couple days ago that HP ‘has’ to make a smartphone. Now when I first heard that, I figured they would hop onto the Windows phone 8 bandwagon. Now a new HP device, codenamed the ‘Bender’ has shown up in some Benchmarking tests as an Android device. I’m kind of surprised to see HP creating an Android device, given their tight relationship with Microsoft.
What you see below is an entry in GL Benchmarks for the HP Bender. According to the screens it looks like the device is currently running Ice Cream Sandwich (Fail HP), and with a nice 1.5GHz processor. Not for sure if that’s a dual-core or quad-core or even what type of processor it is. I would suspect a Tegra 3 or Snapdragon S4.
Well that’s all the information we have for now. We will keep digging for more and keep you updated on this device, and hopefully it does become available soon.
