HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE Scheduled for Release July 5th
Most of us here know of the beloved HTC Droid Incredible, released in April 2010. Then almost a year later, in February of 2011, we saw the HTC Droid Incredible 2. Now, we’re seeing the fabulous looking, HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE, essentially Verizon’s version of the One S. After its failed release on June 21st, we are expecting to see it released on July 5th, according to Verizon’s Equipment Guide, as pictured below.
The device is expected to release with Android 4.0.3, Ice Cream Sandwich, and HTC Sense 4.0, HTC’s personal overlay. It’s expected to have a dual core, 1.2 GHz snapdragon processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB internal memory, an 8 megapixel backside camera, and 1.3 megapixel front camera. Assuming these specs are 100% accurate, this will definitely an amazing device. With the Samsung Galaxy S III coming out only 6 days after the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE, I think HTC will put up a very good fight with Samsung’s device. The Incredible 4G LTE will cost $199.99, but a $50 mail-in rebate will be offered, bringing the price down to $149.99. Now, we play the waiting game, not only for the device release, but to see if the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE or the Samsung Galaxy S III will take its rightful place as Verizon’s best-selling Android smartphone.
