HTC’s upcoming phablet to features mind-bending 480ppi 5 inch display, quad-core Snapdragon S4, 1.5 GB RAM & Secondary LED Notification
According to HTCsource, the HTC is coming up with a 5 inch phablet device that will most likely feature DROID branding and is currently known as the HTC DIx -HTC DROID Incredible X. The external hardware of the DIx matches up with the leaked image of mysterious black HTC device that is confirmed to have a 5 inch display. Now this device is also claimed to features a secondary LED notification light near the rear camera.
HTC DIx is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon S4 chip paired with 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. The battery capacity is still unknown, but the source was able to confirm that the 1080p 5-inch display features a mind-bending pixel density of 480ppi. HTC has also decided not to equip the HTC DIx with a microSD card slot for external storage and the battery is said to be non-removable. This news will certainly be a disappointment to many. Some of the details presented here do not directly match up with previous rumors about the HTC 6435LVW which was supposed to feature a 1794 x 1080 418ppi display & a dual-core Qualcom MSM8960 S4 processor.
Anyways as of now, this is the device every Android fan will be most excited about. The best thing about Android is that you don’t have to wait till next year for upgraded hardware. “The upgraded version of HTC One x with an over clocked NVIDIA Tegra 3 Plus will certainly make a lots of people happy, but the prospect of having a phone with quad-core Snapdragon S4 with a 5-inch 1080p display is too compelling to overlook.”
We’re hoping any spec confusion will be put to rest at HTC’s Announcement next week.
