Ice Cream Sandwich finally rolling out for the I9100G Galaxy S II

For all of you who’ve waited patiently while the original I9100 Galaxy S II got its Ice Cream Sandwich update last month and wondered if your TI OMAP-based I9100G would ever get its calling, you’ll be pleased to hear that your wait is officially over. As reported by GSMArena, the update is now starting to show up for devices in several countries around the world, but it may take a few days or weeks before it has spread globally.

If you’re rocking one of these devices, you can head over to your system settings now and check to see if the update is already there. If not, have patience. It shouldn’t be much longer for you.

Samsung, we commend you for being on top of your updates — even for those devices that aren’t as popular as the Galaxy Nexus or Note.
