Judge to Samsung and Apple: It’s time to make peace (not war?)

As week three of Samsung vs Apple plays out in a United States courtroom fiasco, and with jury deliberations about to kick off next week, US District Judge Lucy Koh has suggested that “it’s time for peace”; and by peace, I think it’s safe to say she’s not suggesting executives from the two ginormous electronics makers sit down for tea and crumpets.
According to a report from British website, “TheGaurdian,” both sides have been advised to explore a settlement. Whether or not the two will decide to go that route is a different matter.
Apparently Judge Koh wants the chief executives of both companies to speak to one another, if even only over the phone, but it doesn’t seem like either company is jumping on the offer. Not really all that surprising, taking into consideration the bitter testimony we’ve already seen from both sides.
Either way, one thing is for sure: we’re getting close to the end of this debacle and it will soon be yesterday’s news.
