LG Nexus 4 to be unveiled at Dive Into Mobile conference in New York on October 29th?

Tis the season to be Nexus, kids! Remember those photos we showed you the other night of the LG-E960 — or as many people are calling it, the next Nexus phone? Well today we’ve got a bit more fuel to throw on the fire, with rumors that the device will be formally known as the Nexus 4 and could be less than three weeks away from being official.
Android Central spotted a French newspaper by the name of “Le Figaro”, which claims the device will make its global debut on Oct. 29, before coming to France on the Vodafone-owned SFR network in December. They also pointed out that this date just happens to coincide with the Dive Into Mobile conference in the Big Apple, so it wouldn’t be outlandish to invest any faith in that.
Of course, we’ve seen surprises in the past, so nothing is set in stone just yet, but this is apparently the second time today that the Nexus 4 name popped up on the Internet. Earlier in the day, The Verge reported with photographs of a device with the same name in popular online retailer Carphone Warehouse’s inventory system.

Looks like we might also be seeing two colors, both white and black, at launch. If this is true, of course.
As always, we’ll let you know as soon as we know more. For now though, what do you think? Is it time to upgrade the LG Nexus from “rumor” status to “coming soon”?
