Looking for AOKP or CyanogenMOD 9 Themes? Here’s 250+ to Keep You Busy for a While

One of the best things about the Android operating systems is that it gives the user the ability to create a UI that is 100% custom-tailored to the user’s liking. While, this may require you to have a rooted device, this is just one more reason to take the big leap and unlock your phone from its chained-down state (thank your carrier for that one).

With such a high demand for these unique UI experiences, it’s no surprise that Android has a rather significant theming community — one that pumps out high-quality themes with jaw-dropping speed and with artistic quality that would make Van Gogh himself blush.

That being said, there are a ton of these themes out there, just waiting to be downloaded, provided you know where to get them. That’s where things begin to get a little tricky. Of course, you could always spend countless hours thumbing through the Google Play Store, but who really wants to do that?

My latest trip to the goldmine that is XDA coughed up quite the treasure. XDA Senior Member krazie1 put together a post with a ginormous collection of themes for ROMs that are compatible with the Theme Chooser Engine, like CM9, AOKP, Gummy, Liquidsmooth, Eclipse, XenonHD, Slim ICS, ParanoidAndroid, BlackIce, Axiom, Hybryd and ICSourcery, just to name a few.

If you think I’m kidding when I say this list is huge, try 253 different themes (96 free and 160 paid) in the same place; and the list gets updated frequently, too.
