Love It Or Hate It, Google+ Changed

Everyone’s a little on edge today. Google+ got a pretty massive update some time in the middle of the night, or early this morning. When I woke up, I went to see what the fuss was about.

Yes, Google+ looks a little weird right now. I’m just going to admit it here. For me, I’m getting massive text issues going on, and some insane picture formatting issues. Most people’s reaction is that the new Google+ is horrible. I admit, it is a little rough on the eyes at first, BUT nobody liked the Google+ web update when it showed up about a month ago. Maybe we’ll all just get used to it, or perhaps the guys at Google will update it so that it doesn’t look all crazy.

Down to the app changes. Google actually added quite a few features to this app. A handy dandy changelog tells us that there is a “visual refresh of the stream and improved navigation”, the ability to start a “Hangout from the main menu”, “support for ringing notification”, “post editing”, “messaging suggestions for people you may know” and the ability to “download photos from posts or Messenger conversations”.

Google had good intentions for this update. Post editing and starting Hangouts from the menu is pretty cool. I believe that Google wanted to give us something new and exciting to feast our eyes upon, but sometime that doesn’t exactly happen.

Either way, the app is still swift and very easy to navigate. It may be a little tough on the eyes at first, but either we’ll get used to it, or Google will change it up a little. I find that as I use it a little more, it’s growing on me.

We’ll just have to get used to changes in the future.
