Madfinger Games unleashes Shadowgun: DeadZone public beta for free on Google Play

A short while ago, we reported on the teasing of Madfinger Games‘ upcoming title, Shadowgun: DeadZone. Just a few days ago, last Thursday to be exact, the game’s multiplayer public beta went live on the Google Play Store. Unfortunately, it’s only available for Tegra 3-based devices now, but we hope to see a larger compatibility list once the real game goes live. For now, those of you lucky enough to own a compatible device are in for a real treat.
In the beta, players get access to four playable characters: a soldier, a mutant, anĀ assassin, and a dancer. There’s a standard deathmatch mode, where the player with the most kills wins the round, and there’s also a zone control mode where players vie to hold down a specific spot on the map to gain points.

There’s also a slew of weapons and gadgetry for players to choose from, like SMG’s, shotguns, land mines, sentry guns, and a rocket launcher (appropriately dubbed “The ShitStorm”).
Weighing in at 113MB, and in true Madfinger fashion, we’re looking at the real deal here, folks. This is the future of mobile gaming, and I’m extremely pleased with what’s to come from the game development company. If you haven’t already grabbed the beta, I’ve included a link to its page on the Play Store below.
