Microsoft Office Possibly Coming To Android Tablets In November

We all know that Microsoft Office is coming to the iPad. I mean, it was bound to happen since Apple hardware can run Windows shitty software as of a few years back. But it’s now rumored that Microsoft Office will be coming to Android tablets as well. And possibly as soon as November.

While those 4 sentences were mild and well mannered, I must warn you that from this point forward this post is solely of my own opinion and not that of other OMG!Droid authors or anything else. If it is, I know nothing about it. So let me explain myself. I’m a Linux user and have been for 11+ years. I don’t touch Microsoft anything. Unfortunately, I have to fix it for the type of work I do which is a computer admin for a web hosting company.

While many of you feel that Microsoft Office is a nice piece of software and would enjoy having this available on your Android tablet, for the sake of things, let’s keep things a bit more realistic here. We don’t need this utter shit floating around in our Google Play Store. Why ? Well, #1 reason, let’s not support Billy Bob Gates and his company. I mean, aren’t they our rivals ?? Don’t they have a phone of their own ? Surely they made it compatible with their own software and therefore they can have it in their own app market or whatever the call it. I personally would call it the virus collection bin, but that’s just me.

Are there not other pieces of similar software that can do the same thing(s) and possibly more and possibly better than Microsoft Office could/would/will do on an Android tablet ? I mean, what about OpenOffice.org or LibreOffice which are open source projects ? I mean, isn’t Android an open source platform ?

Now that I’m done with my little, ok, maybe it wasn’t so little, rant, I can tell you that it appears to be rumored that we will be seeing this Microshit Microsoft Office coming to Android tablets in November. I’m curious as to other Android users opinions on this application and how they feel about Microsoft having applications within the Google Play Store. Should we allow this or should we not ?

I won’t bother unless it’s of similar caliber to iWork on iPad. That suite is _amazing_ compared to the current offering on iOS and Android. I *wish* there was something equivalent on Android.
