Moborobo 2.0 launches — Android’s big “F@#% You” to iTunes and Steve Jobs

moborobo

Who needs iTunes anyways? Moborobo has announced an update to its application, which I was previously unfamiliar with until this evening, when I saw a post about it on Pocketables. If you’ve always wished there was a Windows-based interface for managing all of your content, wish no more, fuckers. That shit is here and it’s here with a vengeance — Steve Jobs would roll over in his grave if he saw how functional this app is. It’s everything iOS wants to be and more. Check out the press release below and then we’ll get back into some of Moborobo’s awesome features.

Moborobo. Inc – One of the leading Android sync software and Android Application developers has just announced the release of Moborobo 2.0, the All-in-one Android Smartphone PC manager. Moborobo 2.0 is the combination of Android sync software and the Android resource download market (applications, games, wallpapers, and themes). Moborobo 2.0 offers users everything they need for their mobile devices: applications, games, launchers, themes, wallpapers, and the ability to manage & backup their personal information. Users can learn more about Moborobo 2.0 and all its content on the official website, at www.moborobo.com.

Now, you’re probably wondering what makes Moborobo so special, right? Well, for starters, it allows users to transfer data between Android and iOS systems. This means, when you’ve finally decided to rid yourself of all of Apple’s evil products, like I did just a week or two ago when I traded my iPod Touch for a Kindle Fire, you can easily transfer all your important data from your iDevice to your awesome new Android device (you made a good decision, by the way).

Moborobo also lets you manage your contact data with a powerful manager that helps you sort, find, organize and backup your contact data, such as your contact list as well as your SMS messages. You can create groups for your contacts and import/export them between your pc and your device. Now, you will never have to worry about losing important contact information again.

Additionally, you can download, install and update all of your games and apps directly through Moborobo — a feature that is sure to go over well with many of our readers. The app also lets you customize your devices by giving you a wide range of downloadable wallpapers and the choice to install “Mobo Launcher”, a unique Android home desktop replacement application. It lets you to add themes to your launcher, customize your icons, dock, as well as scrolling and transition effects, to create and customize a phone with your own unique designs in mind.

As if that isn’t enough, Moborobo totes a multimedia file sync and manager to help you with storage of all your important files, photos, videos and more. You can also send and receive SMS messages from your computer, which is probably one of the coolest features of them all.

Last, but definitely not least, Moborobo supports multiple connection methods. You can connect using either a USB cable, or you can wireless and use a WiFi connection. For more info and a download, make sure to check out http://www.moborobo.com/downloads.html.

Now, eat THAT, Apple…

Doesn’t Google already do all of this natively? Well, aside from backing up apps & their data, but there’s apps for that. Or am I missing something? For music, there’s Google music. Contacts, well Google does all that. Messaging, there’s Google voice. Apps & the apps data there’s various apps for that like Titanium Backup. I guess if this can do the app backup without having to be rooted that’s a plus. Not trying to say this isn’t good, because it is, just trying to understand.

This app is nice, simply because it lumps all of that functionality into one handy place.

      Thanks for reading, Dscatto!

This is to easy. Great app. So easy the wife likes it. Great find, this makes syncing all our pics a little easier. We use the phones as our main camera/camcorder. I like this alot.

Well Windows only. Okay, iTunes is not available for Linux anyway, but I would have hoped that this one would.

    • Tony Simons

Agreed, Wolfram. Especially since Android basically IS Linux.

I’m not seeing the value add of this over Google Play. Unless of course you used to be a iPhone user then maybe I can see it. My contacts are already on gmail, I can already text from my device with googlevoice, My apps, musics, games, movies etc… are all on Google Play and its all integrated though Google+ (well except for google voice – I’m *really* waiting for that integration).

    • Tony Simons

You hit that one on the head. G+ integration will be STELLAR!
