More Jelly Bean leakage for the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S III (T999UVLI8)

Galaxy S III 1024x768

It seems like every other day or so, the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S III (SGH-T999) has gotten an updated dose of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean love, thanks to SamMobile and the never-resting development community. Yes. It seems that way because that’s exactly what’s been happening lately.

A few days back, I shot a video of an almost-stable leak that was making its rounds in the forums. After that, Alex reported on another leaked file and now there’s yet another one for those brave enough to try unofficial software on their device. The latest leak, labeled T999UVLI8, seems to be a stability and performance booster update. This is definitely promising, considering the previous builds have become increasingly more stable with each release.

For those looking for something to flash, XDA Senior Member Wildchld has released a stock deodexed version of the ROM that includes root access. Check out a quick rundown of the details below:

  • STOCK
  • Insecure Kernel
  • Completely deodexed
  • Rooted with SuperSU
  • Zipaligned
  • Busybox
  • CIQ stuff removed
  • init.d Support

If you’re unsure how to install this ROM, be sure to check out Alex’s tutorial he wrote a few days back. It’s for an older version, but the same steps still apply here.

Then, head over to the original thread on XDA for the download link and discussion. Be sure to thank Wild for his work and tell ‘em OMG!Droid sent you! I’m headed there now to download and flash myself. See ya there?
