Moto Droid Razr HD Sighting?

The whispers and leaks continue regarding this highly anticipated device and over this past weekend we received more of the same.  Thanks to the crew over at Droid Life, we have our first peek of what is supposedly our beloved Droid Razr HD.   As you see from the pics, it looks like the back of the phone is now covered in full Kevlar and the camera has been moved to the top center of the phone with a speaker and flash on either side. The rear camera is said to be a whopping 13 MP.  Furthermore, the “hump” that existed in the previous original Droid Razr is all but gone, which appears to be related to the inclusion of the 3300 mAH battery to add some girth to its thickness.  Sources share that the 4.6-inch HD display is spectacular and will include on-screen navigation. This, as is the entire Droid Line, will be hitting Verizon and their 4G LTE network.  However, no release date is in site just yet.  Estimates indicate that we could be waiting at least 2 months before it’s in consumer hands.  I think it’s fairly safe to assume that “Big Red” will wait on this one and reap all the benefits it can from the Samsung Galaxy S3 (SG3).

I must say, before purchasing the Galaxy Nexus, I gave the Droid Razr some serious consideration. The screen was gorgeous, it was very comfortable in the hands, and it was clear it was made with quality materials.  The major sticking point for me was the lack of Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and the fact that I really preferred a Nexus device.  If the Droid Razr HD  is everything it claims to be, it could be a stellar device and one worthy of being considered a viable SG3 competitor.

We have a couple of great devices heading our way folks. Which one will you be craving to get your hands on and why?  Be sure to let us know.

Adios..
