Nexus 7 Shipping And Release Dates Revealed

I’m sure all of you are just as anxious to get your hands on your pre-ordered Nexus 7 as I am and are wondering when Google will begin shipping these bad boys. Well, have no fear, OMG!Droid is here with that news. When Google announced the tablet at Google I/O and made it available for pre-order, the Google Play Store stated it would ship in 2 – 3 weeks from that day. That would have put it shipping around July 17th or so. And well, that wasn’t very far off as it seems now that the shipping will begin on July 19th. Which means it’s very possible you and I could have our Nexus 7′s on July 21st thanks to UPS’s two-day shipping. Yes, we could certainly receive our tablet on a Saturday if Google requests UPS to deliver on a Saturday.

This news come from online retailers such as eBuyer, PCWorld and Curry’s. It’s also been stated that you will be able to walk into an actual retail store and purchase one of these tablets on July 27th. Originally it was stated during a hands-on review of the tablet at Google I/O that the Nexus 7 would begin shipping July 20th. Now it seems that’s changed by a day and let me tell you….I’m not upset one single bit. In fact, I can’t hardly wait to get my hands on it.

So if you’ve pre-ordered one of these lovelies you might only have about another 18 days or so to wait until you can get your grubby little paws on this device. Who’s excited ? I know I sure as hell am. I’ve got an 8GB and a 16GB version coming to this house. Now to find a way to swap my dads 16GB for my 8GB without him knowing! Oh wait, he reads this site. Guess I just busted myself out!
