[NSFW] Google+ censors #Testicles trend within minutes [Here are some of the better reasons why]

Oh, how I love Google+. In a little under a year, it has grown to become the only social network that I truly invest any stock in. The people there are highly interactive and there’s an unlimited amount of intelligent posts being shared that keep me busy reading for hours.

Today, G+ users (Plussers) decided to flex their muscles just a bit and stray from the typical #Caturday trends that we normally see and take things to a different level of madness.

Say hello to #testicles. Yep. That’s what they came up with.

It took all of 5 minutes to become an exploding viral trend on the social networking site and within 15 minutes, Google stepped in to flex a muscle of its own (no pun intended).

So, what does all of this mean? Well, at first glance, it would appear that there are a great deal of people out there who have an odd fascination with testicles; but if you look just a little bit deeper, Google is definitely attempting to water down its community’s “freedom of speech”.

Now, I’m sure everyone out there has a different opinion on this. I get it. Testicles aren’t necessarily what we would like to consider proper table talk, but hey — if it becomes a trend, it should remain a trend regardless of what the word or phrase is. If that many people are talking about it, there’s obviously a hot topic and it should not be buried beneath the likes of “Bee Gees” or “Lady Gaga”, the current top trends.

Well, you know our stance on it — we love this type of shit. So, here’s a few of the better #testicle posts we came across. Misery loves company, bitches!

It was 2 1/2 hours not 15 minutes.

The trend was started by Shawn Holster (https://plus.google.com/107747666102379771298/posts) and spread among a small group of people for about an hour, then the trend lasted about another 60 minutes or more.

LOL! Thanks for sharing that. Glad to see the root of all this.

Sad that Google does this. So pathetic.

Starting to think half of the “trending” items are paid for.

I am just pleased that you are willing to get the information out there.

G+ is not an open social network. What trends on Google is what Google wants to trend.

I can’t agree more. And I truly thank you for reading!

Hopefully someone at Google takes note. The OP about this on G+ would already be on what’s hot, if it weren’t for #testicle stuff, lol.
