Official Nexus 7 cover now available on Google Play

If you haven’t noticed, the official Nexus 7 travel cover is now available on Google Play. The cover was previously listed as “Coming Soon”, but you can now grab it for $19.99 plus shipping. I note the shipping specifically, because it will run you $9.99 for standard two-day and it doesn’t appear another shipping option exists. Include the tax, and your cost is $31.88 out the door. According to Google it will ship in 3-5 business days.

The accessory is available in dark grey only and allows simultaneous charging and headphone port access while protecting your device. The case appears to be a simple lightweight (4.7 oz) wrap around design that offers protection to both the back and front of the device. No mention of a magnetic closure on the front cover. It sports the Nexus and ASUS  logos on the rear to mirror the insignia on the device itself. The case is compatible with both the 8 GB and 16 GB devices.

If you were holding out for a case to secure your new favorite toy, I wouldn’t hesitate too long. The popularity of the Nexus 7 has been immense, and I would expect that related accessories will be on the move quick. So if your interested, order yourself one right here.
