If you were starting to wonder if an official Pinterest app would ever make its way to the Android operating system, wonder no more — it’s here, it’s on Google Play, and it’s free.

Less than a week after the service shed its invite-only beta tag and opened its doors to everyone, users can now grab the official app and pin to their heart’s content, on the go.

Weighing in at a mere 5MB, the app is compatible with devices running Android 2.2 and greater.  Check below for the full details from the Play Store, followed by a link to the download.

Are any of you using Pinterest? The service never quite caught on for me, but now that there’s an Android app, I may have to give it a second chance.

Happy pinning!
