Official T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S III Jelly Bean OTA leaks (Updated with flashable rooted ROM)

Could it be true? Is T-Mobile the first US carrier to have a Jelly Bean OTA ready for the Samsung Galaxy S III? While there’s definitely no word of anything official, it looks like the devs over at XDA have gotten their hands on a leaked version of the stock Android 4.1 ROM for the device.
Before you go all bonkers on us, it may be safe to hold off on flashing this one for a while, especially if you’re already rooted and running a custom ROM on your device.
Initial reports from the forums aren’t looking so promising, but at least there is now a base file for developers to work on, which should lead to something worth flashing in the very near future.

If you absolutely cannot wait, here’s what you’ll need to do:
Apply zip over STOCK T999UVALH2 found here
1. Download and install stock (if you are not already on stock rom) This is needed as a base. The update will otherwise fail
2. Download OTA
3. Apply zip in recovery menu
4. Enjoy Jelly Bean 4.1.1
Again, you’re probably going to revert shortly after trying this, but if all works out, this weekend might just be a very exciting one for T-Mobile customers rocking the S3, like myself.
Stay tuned, I’ll be watching this one like a hawk.

[Update]
Just wanted to let you guys and gals know that there’s already something worth flashing, as long as you don’t mind not having WiFi calling and a broken stock browser. (Chrome is better anyways. Use it.)
XDA Senior Member Wildchld has posted a flashable rooted ROM, which I’ve already installed. I have to say, it’s very impressive. I really like how Samsung blended Android 4.1 and TouchWiz together. One of my favorite additions is the quick access to Google Now via a long press on the home button. Awesome stuff!
Here’s the details on the download:
LEAK T-Mobile T999UVDLH3 Rom with the following:
~ STOCK
~ Completely deodexed
~ Rooted

~ CIQ stuff removedBloat can be removed, but I’ll leave it to the user.
