ASUS’s premiere all in one phone, tablet, keyboard device should soon be shipping worldwide to general public. One problem is that being a GSM device it won’t be enabled with LTE. ASUS is looking forward to fixing that.
ASUS is already looking forward to remedying the problem with an eluded Padfone 2. ASUS recently had an employee strategy debriefing in which SOMEONE (we really don’t know who) leaked some slides from the slideshow that was shown. As you will be able to see in the slide below, ASUS plans on releasing the 1st generation Padfone as 3G-only while also releasing a 2nd generation enabled with 4G.Also the next generation Padfone is supposed to be a “key player”, we don’t know what that exactly means but hopefully is means great hardware, software, battery etc etc.
No other details have been revealed about the Padfone besides these so we don’t know what else to let you all know. Except one detail, ASUS has not been known to be more focused on timely and smart software updates rather than worrying so much about physical appearances, as you may be able to tell with this new device.
