Air Hockey (Platinum Apps) Review

Platinum has some awesome apps. I got to try out their app called “Platinum Air Hockey Pro”. Now, I’m a big fan of Air Hockey, and I smash on whoever I play against. This air hockey game is awesome!

Alright, so first things first, the Air Hockey game can be played in many different ways. You can do one player games, two player games and wireless two player. I tested out one player and two player, but I didn’t get a chance to check out the wireless 2 player.

You can set your difficulty as either easy, medium, or hard(I set it at hard because I’m awesome). You can also choose the points that you need to win. The highest is 15 points.

A really cool part of the paid version of this app is that you can choose your venue. You have the choice to pick classic, basketball, soccer, casino or prehistoric venues.

I really enjoyed game play. While I did notice that I was having some glitching problems (however I’m not sure if that had to do with my ROM or  not), game play was smooth. I never had any force closes or any issues of that nature. I did notice that when I first got to the menu screen, I had to turn my tablet upside down for me to see it the correct way. Also when choosing to play over wifi multiplayer (a very cool feature to add), after pressing play the app would close me out and go back to the main screen of the app. That’s not a deal breaker for me, though.
