PlayStation Mobile store now accessible for select Sony Android devices (HTC One line coming soon)

Owners of Android devices that are considered to be “PlayStation Certified” in the U.S., Japan, Canada, U.K., France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Australia can now access Sony’s new mobile game store, appropriately dubbed, “PlayStation Mobile”. If you don’t live in any of the listed locales, don’t fret. Sony promises that more countries will soon be added to the roster.

Unfortunately for non-Sony device owners like myself, this does not apply. The list of supported devices can be found here, but it does appear there is some hope for owners of the HTC One S, One V, and One X, which are listed as “coming soon”. No love for my Galaxy S III or any of my tablets.

As for available game titles, our friends from Android Central have thrown together the initial list of what you can expect to see:

  • Frederic – Resurrection of Music ($3.99 / £3.19)
  • Loot The Land ($3.99 / £3.19)
  • incurvio ($7.49 / £5.89)
  • Wipe! ($1.49 / £1.19)
  • Magic Arrows ($4.99 / £3.99)
  • Everbody’s Arcade (Free trial / IAP)
  • Underline ($2.79 / £2.19)
  • Nyoqix ($5.49 / £4.49)
  • Numblast ($2.99 / £2.39)
  • Super Crate Box ($3.49 / £2.79)
  • Aqua Kitty – Milk Mine Defender ($3.49 / £2.79)
  • Flick Hockey ($2.29 / £1.79)
  • Word Blocked ($1.99 / £1.59)
  • Rebel ($1.99 / £1.59)
  • Tractor Trails ($2.29 / £2.59)
  • Hungry Giraffe ($2.99 / £2.39)
  • Beats Slider ($0.79 / £0.65)
  • Fuel Tiracas ($0.49 / £0.40)
  • Twist Pilot ($3.49 / £2.79)
  • Samurai Beatdown ($0.99 / £0.79)
  • Beats Trellis ($0.79 / £0.65)

I know I tend to generally post a lot of news about Samsung and ASUS devices, as I’m definitely in favor of the two, but I’m curious how many of our readers are rocking a Sony “PlayStation Certified” device. If you’re in the bunch, drop me a line in the thread below and share your experiences with the device you own. I’ve never played with one before, and I’m definitely wondering if they live up to the hype or not.
