If you’re looking to make it a “Redbox Night” and you’re planning on using your Android smartphone or tablet to find that new movie you’ve waited so long to see, the latest update released on Google Play aims to make your experience a bit more pleasurable.

Version 3.0 went live, as of September 21st, and it brings with it a newly designed user interface, making it easier to sort through the entire catalog — and catch a bit of eye candy while doing so. On the top of your screen, there are tabs for movies, video games, locations, and your “shopping cart”. There is also a “more” tab, which gives you access to your account and credit card settings.

Inside of title pages, the descriptions look crisp and clear. All of the information about a particular movie or game can be found here, along with a “Reserve” button and a “Play Trailer” button, just in case you want to catch a preview of the title before you reserve it. Have a look at a few screenies below:

Also included in this update are updated filtering options, the ability to sort titles by arrival date and alphabetical order, and Push Notifications for Redbox updates and freebies. Gotta love freebies, eh?

To grab the latest version, just head over to Google Play, assuming you already have an older version installed. The update is there waiting for you. If you need a fresh copy, hit up the link below.
