Samsung Earns Record Breaking 7.4 Billion In Third Quarter
Can you believe it? Normally I don’t care how a giant corporation did in it’s first, second or third quarters in sales. I have other important stuff to worry about like am I going to buy a dozen glaze donuts or a dozen sugar donuts? Should I get a twelve pack of Dr. Pepper or a twelve pack of Mountain Dew? You know, the truly important stuff I deal with daily.
This time, however, was different. I don’t know why, really? Maybe it was because I happen to own several Samsung products including 2 cellphones, a refrigerator, a microwave, a washer / dryer set and 5 TV’s. It could also be that, like every other person on the planet thinks, it would be awesome to be a billionaire. I’m not a billionaire however, but 7.4 billion is a mind-blowing number, wouldn’t you agree?
I’d like to think that I had a part in Samsung achieving this goal, but it really had very little to do with me at all. I know it was most of the credit goes to the Galaxy S III, leading to the mobile division’s sales department more than doubling what they made last year at this time. Samsung claims to have sold about 20 million Galaxy S. III’s in July through September. That is really amazing, but I can’t say I’m surprised because it is a really great phone.
I have read that some people think that things will start to slow down for Samsung. Are these people serious? Why would they think that? 7.4 billion, people — and with the Galaxy Note II dropping soon and the new Samsung Talking Toaster I bought yesterday? No way in heck things are going to slow down for Samsung. I can’t wait to see what new shiny things they come out with next for the coming quarter.
What do you think? Will the speeding train that is Sammy slow down any time soon, or is it full steam ahead from here out?
