Samsung T679 Cleared for Takeoff by FCC – Is This the New Samsung Galaxy W?
The photo you’re seeing above could quite possibly be the new Samsung Galaxy W. Apparently, the FCC just approved the device, known as of now as the Samsung T679 and it’s headed to T-Mobile. The device will feature a 480×800 screen resolution, similar to those found on other Samsung Galaxy devices. Have a look at the photo below, from Phone Arena:
It does line up fairly well, doesn’t it? At any rate, this is only speculation, but I would put my money in the same basket that sees the T679 being the Galaxy W. This device looks to have some nice specs to it:
- 1.4 GHz single core processor
- Android version 2.3 (Gingerbread)
- 4 GB internal memory
- Micro-SD card slot capable of using a 32GB cart
- 3G network
- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
- Wi-Fi hotspot
- Bluetooth 3.0
- GPRS
- EDGE network
- Bluetooth 3.0
Unfortunately that’s about all we have on this device at the moment, but we will gladly keep you updated as more details begin to trickle down the wire.
I have to wonder how much the price tag on this phone is going to be… I’d assume it won’t be nearly as costly as the Samsung Galaxy S II. What do you think? Make sure to let us know by commenting below!
