Samsung wins again with latest Galaxy S III commercials

Three new videos came down the pipeline from Samsung yesterday, reminding us that the electronics manufacture not only has the hardware it takes to rule the smartphone kingdom, but the humor as well.

In the first Galaxy S III ad, “Work Trip” we see a father hopping a cab on his way to the airport. His loving family is there to see him off, when the kids tell dad they made him a video to watch on the plane and beam it to his phone using the device’s S Beam feature.

As his chariot is about to pull away, mom leans in and beams him a video she made for him as well, though she warns him he shouldn’t watch it on the plane. (Queue cheezy 80′s porno soundtrack). Bow-chikka-wow-wow!

Definitely a good laugh, Sammy. Bravo! Check it out below.

Video number two is called, “Game On”. This one takes a direct poke at Apple’s iPhone by showing a pair of gamers on a public transit bench blasting zombies away to see who can get the highest score. Of course, the hot chick with the Galaxy S III has little in the line of troubles playing the game, as she’s got all that lovely screen real estate to work with. The iPhone user, not so lucky, of course — and of course, he’s gotta voice his displeasure, or as the elderly woman on the bench calls him out for liking to whine. Classic stuff.

Ready for round three? Of course you are. This video is called, “Date Night”. Again toting the S Beam functionality, as well as Samsung’s Music Hub, this video shows two crazy kids on a couch, trying to set the mood with a little background music.

Unfortunately, the poor bloke’s choice of The Spice Girls song, “If You Wanna Be My Lover,” wasn’t what his girl had in mind, so she straightens out the situation by sharing a playlist with him that’s a bit more suitable for the occasion. (Anyone else surprised he’s still getting some?)

With over 20 million units sold, it’s good to see Samsung putting some of those earnings back into solid advertisements like these. After all, what good is an amazing product if it’s not marketed properly?
